Have you ever thought about the attributes of the Lord that you personally carry?
Last week in worship class the Lord moved my heart so much that I began to cry. The people I was surrounded by are pieces of who Jesus is. They example his character just by being. The Lord has given us each pieces and attributes of who He is. I looked around the room at each person and cried as I thanked the Lord for what they carry that example Him. Love and compassion, truth and kindness, gentleness and ferocity, loud and silly, humble and confident, wisdom and empathy, willing and discerning, servant and those served, child-like and mature, comforting and trustworthy.
As the tears flowed down my face, I expressed as best as I could with words to the class what the Lord was showing me. “As I am looking at each of you, my heart is filled with love and joy, I am seeing the parts of you that reflect the heart of Jesus. He is compassionate and kind, he is gentle yet fierce, he is a servant and lets others serve Him. Those things are things I see in each one of you when you smile, when you talk… all the time.” When I finished, Leann (a friend that was facilitating our worship class) spoke and asked if we could collectively go around the room and each of us point our what characteristics of the Lord we could see in each other.
