This month has been a wild one.
Firstly, I want to elaborate a little more on what I’m doing this go around on the world race.
Instead of being a first time world racer I am what is called an Alumni Squad Leader. This is someone who has done the world race before that can bring new perspectives, disciple, and love on and care for the current racers. On a practical level this looks like going from team to team each month, doing ministry with them, spending time with them, encouraging them and so much more!
This month I started with team Agape.
Emily, Erika, Grant, Jason, Sarah Beth, Macky and Bailee. We arrived in Mongolia on Wednesday August 7th and took a 6 hour bus ride to the town we would spend the next few days in. After a yummy dinner and some good conversations we settled into our Gher for the night to rest up before Ministry started the next day at 8am.
This is our Gher.
The following four days were spent preparing for and hosting a tent revival. We spent hours upon hours walking the streets, going into homes, sharing the gospel and inviting people to come to the tents on the outskirts of the town to hear the word being preached, to worship together, be prayed for and to just feel the Love of Jesus in that place. The first night there were over 1,600 people who showed up. It was so incredible to be part of this event!
When the tent revival was over, we headed to a town called Erdenet to teach English. Team Agape would stay there for the remainder of the month but a few days later I needed to head to Ulaanbaatar to meet up with Tammy, Tom and Nicole (my leadership team) we spent a few days resting and filling ourselves up so that we could pour out to the new teams we would head to soon. We hung out, and planned debrief for the end of the month.
Debrief is a time at the end of the month where all 38 of us come together to hang out, rest for the next month of ministry, have fun, be poured into by one another, talk about our successes, failures, good memories and such from the first month.
After the few days spent in UlaanBaatar with my leadership team, Nicole and I(Pictured below) headed to team HKS.
Once arriving to our location with team HKS, we participated in ministry- English teaching, prayer over the city, evangelism and a hiking trip with the youth. We also sat in on team time and testimonies, which is a time where the team spends intentional time bonding, we hear one another’s stories and feedback which is a time and space to love the people around us well and encourage them.
Here are a few photos from our time with HKS.
MacKenzie and I in Lacy’s hammock. We spent a few hours laughing, chatting and resting.

Myself, Lacy and Nicole halfway through our hike.
After our time with HKS we met back up as a leadership team to finish preparing for debrief and rest up before a crazy week.We got to spend a day relaxing and riding horses.
Debrief ended a few days ago. It was long and exhausting. Days were spent preparing teachings, having conversations with racers about their first month and the things they are going through or learning, assisting in sessions, having team conversations as they reflected on their time in Mongolia, late night chats about all sorts of things and so so much more. It was such a good week and I’m so thankful for all that the Lord did and taught me.
Please pray for us as we try to start the process of getting our Chinese Visas tomorrow. Some teams have already arrived in China and are having some trouble finding places to stay so please also pray for them. We know that the Lord will provide but could also use your prayers.
I am also still fundraising and in order to be fully funded by the end of January I need $1,800 to be coming in monthly so that I can stay on the field and continue to pour into this squad and be part of what the Lord is doing all over the world. If I could get 32 people to donate $50 a month, I would be fully funded by the end of January. Would you consider being one of my monthly donors?
Thank you all so much for your prayers and donations already. Love you all!!
